What the role offers

  • Entry through GPY1 into a structured two-year pathway; GPY2 follows as the second year for progressing graduates.
  • Regular supervision, Learning Pod sessions, case review and support with unfamiliar presentations.
  • A gradual, capability-led increase in caseload, complexity and responsibility across relevant clinical settings.
  • A final GPY2 capability review and evidence portfolio informing the next stage of development.

Essential requirements

  • Recognised tertiary physiotherapy qualification and current or pending eligibility for AHPRA registration.
  • Final-year students are welcome where they will be eligible for registration before commencing employment.
  • Current First Aid and CPR, Australian working rights, unrestricted driver licence, and reliable transport.
  • Required screening, insurance, vaccination, and health clearances for the appointed care settings.

GPY1 is the entry point to two years of structured support

Your first year focuses on safe transition, a staged caseload, named supervision and reliable clinical foundations. GPY2 follows as the second year for graduates progressing from GPY1, with greater complexity and contribution within defined boundaries.
